Job Title: Business Analyst
Support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office (EHRM-IO) program as a Business Analyst. The analyst supports the DAS PM and team with meeting coordination, meeting minutes, action items, reporting support, documentation support, acquisition support, budget support, RTM, etc.
Minimum qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional work experience
- Must have experience in evaluating data provided by cost estimators to create overall cost versus benefit assessment
- Experience with software acquisition evaluation while considering functional benefits, technical performance, risks, and schedule concerns
- Ability to cope well under pressure, high-paced workstreams, and/or short deadlines
- Must be highly effective at communicating both vertically and horizontally with team members and senior staff
- Must have strong investigative and analytical skills, critical thinking and be detail-oriented
- Must be flexible and efficient at multi-tasking in a high-profile and fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage across geographically diverse teams
- Must be highly organized and self-motivating, maintaining high integrity and high confidence
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Computer Science, Cost Accounting, or related scientific or technical discipline is required, or an additional 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted for degree requirements
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in the VA
- Experience implementing Electronic Health Records to include FHIR and HL7 message tracking
- Experience with middleware and Enterprise Service Bus design and testing
- Experience with monitoring high availability, highly elastic mission critical systems in a cloud environment using AWS and Azure dashboards
- Experience with enterprise-level reporting for analytics and trending analysis (Power BI, Tableau)
