Agriculture Technology Project Coordinator / Technical Writer (Remote within Canada)

About the Role


This role is responsible for supporting the successful delivery of AIVA Network projects across Canada.


The Project Coordinator will oversee project execution, monitor progress, and ensure deliverables align with the network’s strategy, policies, and data quality standards. You will track projects, manage risks, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.


The Project Coordinator will also be responsible for producing high-quality written content that clearly communicates the objectives, methods, results, and insights from the agriculture technology trial conducted. Working closely with farm managers, the project manager, and innovators, you will gather technical data and translate it into reports, knowledge products, and resources for diverse audiences, including producers, industry partners, funders, and the public.

Portfolio of Responsibility


  • Coordinating tasks and activities across teams to meet project objectives throughout the course of each project
  • Maintaining project documentation and providing regular status updates to stakeholders
  • Managing ongoing relationships with project stakeholders and responding to and resolving complaints and issues, escalating to the Project Manager or Network Lead where required
  • Oversight of all deliverables, ensuring they meet quality standards and project requirements
  • Developing clear, concise, and accurate documentation of trial designs, testing protocols, and methodologies
  • Preparing technical reports, executive summaries, and knowledge transfer materials based on trial results
  • Creating case studies, best practice guides, and technical briefs for use by producers, industry partners, and stakeholders
  • Working with the project manager to interpret trial results and ensure data is presented clearly and accurately
  • Collaborating with the project manager, farm managers, and technology providers to ensure timely and accurate documentation
  • Editing and proofreading reports, presentations, and other technical content
  • Maintaining an organized library of project documentation, trial protocols, and results archives
  • Supporting the preparation of conference papers, journal submissions, and public presentations as needed

Qualifications


Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in technical writing within agriculture, agtech, or research settings
  • Strong understanding of crop production systems, agricultural trials, and digital agriculture technologies
  • Ability to interpret scientific data and present it in a clear and engaging format for multiple audiences
  • Exceptional written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-starter attitude with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Access to a suitable home workspace

Assets (not required):

  • Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe InDesign)

  • Bilingual (English/French)

The successful candidate may be located anywhere in Canada. The successful candidate must be legally entitled to work in Canada. Salary will be dependant on experience.
