Social Media Intern 

Providence Engineering and Environmental is seeking a Social Media Intern to assist with coordinating and executing the company’s Talent Acquisition social media strategy. This position will provide hands-on experience working across company departments and play a significant role in creating a bigger presence on our online social media platforms.


  • Must be currently enrolled in school at a community college or university level
  • Prefer a Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business, or Human Resource major
  • Experience in digital marketing/social media marketing is a plus
  • Impeccable oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent internet research skills
  • Mastery of the major social media platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Snap, Google+, and TikTok
  • Knowledge of social media analytics software including Facebook Insights, Google Analytics, and Twitter Analytics to track audience engagement and campaign performance a plus
  • Experience with content management systems, word processor applications, and image/video editing software


  • Assist with the design and execution of social media campaign
  • Create weekly and monthly editorial calendars to promote company brands on various social media websites
  • Create and distribute content such as blogs, infographics, videos, and press releases on social media and traditional news outlets as needed
  • Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability
  • Support the human resources team as needed
  • Perform social media marketing research
  • Respond to comments and DMs on social media platforms
  • Brainstorm and research ideas for original content
  • Create compelling graphics to share across social channels
  • Write social media captions that speak to the company’s target audience
  • Help create and edit short-form videos
  • Develop new strategies for increasing engagement with candidates
  • Assist with photo/video content shoots
  • Ensure recruiting brand message is consistent


  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
