Assistant Resort Manager | Mara Lake RV & Beach Club

Pinnacle Lifestyles is seeking an Assistant Resort Manager with a hospitality focus to join our team for the summer season. This role is ideal for someone who excels in hospitality and is ready to grow into a leadership position—supporting daily operations while leading the guest experience on-site. You’ll work closely with the Resort Manager to ensure smooth operations, oversee guest services, and help create a welcoming, well-run resort environment where guests return year after year.
This is a seasonal position running from April/May through October, with potential for future growth opportunities within the company.
What You’ll Be Doing
This role blends leadership, guest services, and light operational support. You’ll be both front-facing with guests and supporting behind-the-scenes operations.
Guest Experience & Front Desk Leadership
· Lead daily guest services operations, ensuring a warm, efficient check-in and check-out experience
· Manage reservations (online, phone, and in-person), ensuring accuracy and optimization of bookings
· Act as the primary point of contact for guest concerns, resolving issues quickly and professionally
· Promote resort amenities, local attractions, and enhance the overall guest stay
· Encourage re-bookings, guest reviews, and survey completion
Team Support & Leadership
· Support hiring, training, and supervision of Guest Services and Housekeeping team members
· Provide day-to-day guidance and support to staff to ensure service standards are met
· Help coordinate team schedules, task lists, and daily priorities
· Step in where needed—leading by example during busy periods
Resort Operations Support
· Assist with camp store operations including sales, cash handling, inventory, and merchandising
· Support event execution, long weekend activities, and group bookings
· Ensuring budget review and compliance.
· Help ensure cleanliness standards across cabins, washrooms, and common areas
· Conduct regular resort walk-throughs to maintain quality and identify improvements
· Assist with reporting, incident documentation, and operational follow-ups
Culture & Community
· Help create positive team environment that reflects Pinnacle’s values of family, community, and the outdoors.
· Contribute ideas to enhance guest experience, events, and overall resort atmosphere.
What We’re Looking For
· 3-5+ Years of experience in hospitality, tourism, or customer service.
· Previously leadership or supervisory experience is a strong asset.
· Strong guest service mindset.
· Confident handling guest concerns and problem-solving in real time.
· Experience with POS systems and reservation platforms (Newbook is an asset)
· Organized, adaptable, and able to manager multiple priorities.
· Comfortable being active and on your feet throughout the day.
· A team-first attitude with a willingness to jump in wherever needed.
· Passion for the outdoors and resort lifestyle.
