Quality Control Inspector


Quality Control Inspectors at Business Jet Access play a vital role in ensuring aircraft are in an airworthy condition and all of the related paperwork is completed as required.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

·         Performing preliminary and hidden damage inspections

·         Performing in-process inspections of work performed

·         Performing Required Inspection Items (RII)

·         Performing incoming inspections of parts, materials, and other articles as needed

·         Assembling and reviewing completed work order packages, log entries, maintenance work cards, and other related documents for work performed

·         Ensuring parts and materials are properly tagged and segregated in the work areas

·         Reporting of faulty or inoperative equipment to supervisory personnel

·         Helping to ensure the hangars and facility are clean, orderly, and in compliance with regulatory and company policies

·         Helping to ensure quality control  procedures and processes are performed in a timely manner to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow

·         Performing internal audits in accordance with the company Safety Management System

·         Performing audits of local area vendors and other Essential Maintenance Providers at other locations.




·         Possess and maintain a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate

·         FAA Inspection Authorization is preferred

·         Avionics background/experience is a plus

·         Five years of Experience in FAA Part 135 (Charter) and/or Part 145 (Repair Station) environments

·         Above average understanding of the Federal Aviation Regulations relating to Part 135 and Part 145 operations

·         Experience with computer operations using Microsoft Windows, and MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

·         Experience using aviation / MRO databases used for work order processing and other functions (e.g. Corridor, Pentagon, Total FBO, SAP, other proprietary software)

·         Experience using computer-based Maintenance Tracking Software.  (e.g. Flightdocs, CAMP, others)



Knowledge, Skills Abilities:

·         Ability to obtain and maintain an airport security badge

·         Ability have and maintain a valid state driver’s license

·         Strong communication skills – both verbal and written

·         Possess excellent customer relation skills

·         Ability to be assertive in a highly professional manner

·         Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills

·         Very detail-oriented

·         Ability to work under pressure and follow detailed instructions


Occasional travel may be required (less than 25%)

Occasional overtime, Phone Duty, Weekend Duty, Maintenance Hotline Duty will be required

It may be necessary to work nights or other extended hours to meet demanding schedules and or specific customer requirements

·         dexterity to manipulate hand and power tools

·         This position is very active and requires standing, sitting, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing during the workday

·         The employee must be able to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds



Work Environment:


·         While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to work outside many be frequently exposed to various weather conditions and loud noises.
