Since 1964, Peek ‘n Peak Resort has been recognized in the Northeast region as an all-seasons family destination. The resort spans 105 acres, with 27 slopes and 4 terrain parks of varying difficulty levels. Travelers from PA, OH, NY, and Canada visit the resort for affordable recreation, including snow sports (skiing/boarding/terrain park/ tubing), golf, adventure park, spa, and events. SUMMARY
The Snowboard Supervisor assists with overseeing the adult snowboard lesson program, supporting instructors, organizing lessons, and ensuring quality guest service and safety. The position also provides instructor coaching and support and may teach snowboard lessons as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

·         Assist with the daily operations of the adult snowboard lesson program.

·         Assign instructors to group and private lessons based on experience, certification, availability, and guest needs.

·         Organize lesson groups and ensure guests are placed at the appropriate ability level.

·         Monitor lesson operations, instructor utilization, and guest wait times.

·         Provide instructors with coaching, support, and constructive feedback.

·         Assist with training, mentoring, and developing snowboard instructors.

·         Communicate assignments, schedules, and operational updates to instructors.

·         Address instructor and guest questions, concerns, and complaints professionally.

·         Enforce safety standards, company policies, and Snow Sports School procedures.

·         Coordinate with other Snow Sports School supervisors and resort departments.

·         Assist instructors and team members as needed.

·         Teach group and private snowboard lessons when assigned or operationally necessary.

·         Perform other duties as assigned by Snow Sports School leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. ·         Advanced snowboarding ability and a strong working knowledge of AASI teaching principles and techniques. 

·         Ability to communicate effectively with employees, guests, and resort leadership. 

·         Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. 

·         Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. 

·         Ability to lead instructors, provide constructive feedback, and resolve employee or guest concerns. 

·         Demonstrated commitment to safety, lesson quality, and guest service. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

·         Minimum of two years of snowboard teaching experience

·         Current AASI Certification is highly preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Optimum physical fitness required to actively participate/train in Snow Sports School.
• Frequent skiing/boarding on terrain in various conditions, carrying objects up to 50 lbs, reaching/maneuvering/positioning oneself to perform assigned tasks.
• Constant movement around the resort and performing the majority of job duties outdoors, often in inclement weather for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays required and willingness to flex up work hours (based on business need).
