Office Assistant (Per diem/Evenings)

Brooklyn, NY Full-time $18.00-$22.00/hour

Position Overview:

Center for Allied Health education is seeking a dependable and organized Office Assistant to support daily administrative operations. As a key part of the team, you will help ensure the office runs smoothly and maintain a professional and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist students, staff, and guests in a courteous and professional manner

  • Answer phone calls, direct inquiries, and manage incoming emails

  • Assist with scheduling meetings, appointments, and room bookings

  • Maintain office supplies and place orders as needed

  • Support document preparation, filing, data entry, and record-keeping

  • Assist with mail distribution, scanning, and photocopying

  • Help coordinate internal communications and announcements

  • Provide general support to administrative staff and academic departments

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer use

  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Friendly, team-oriented, and customer-service minded
