Digital Content and Social Media Manager (per-diem)
Foxborough Massachusetts (in-person and remote) - Employee must live in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, or Connecticut.
$20-$30/hr per-diem (casual)
The Digital Content and Social Media Manager will be an ambassador of the District and the 911 profession. The Digital Content and Social Media Manager will utilize the latest popular social media platforms and content style and format to expand awareness of the 911 District's mission, recruitment efforts, public awareness, and build public trust and visibility into the "behind the scenes" of 911. The Digital Content and Social Media Manager will be expected to develop posts, videos, press releases, and other content that embraces the District's culture and is appropriate for a government, or public safety agency. The Digital Content and Social Media Manager must have the maturity to communicate with members of the public and awareness of national and local current events to ensure all content is sensitive but politically neutral. The Digital Content and Social Media Manager shall be responsible for ensuring all content complies with the various security and privacy regulations that apply to the District. The successful candidate shall be required to satisfactorily complete a comprehensive background check as well as certify for access to secure spaces of District facilities. The Digital Content and Social Media Manager will work with the District's webmaster to develop and maintain the District's website. Additionally, the Digital Content and Social Media Manager will be responsible for engaging with local and national media outlets and newspapers. The Digital Content and Social Media Manager may be authorized to make statements on behalf of the district and may be called on to advise District executive staff on media relations. The Digital Content and Social Media Manager may be required to engage with national sports teams, world famous bands and performance artists, national performance venues, colleges, universities, and other high-exposure entities.
The Digital Content and Social Media Manager may be required to work off-hours to support emergency operations. Additionally, the Digital Content and Social Media Manager may be tasked with performing training for staff.
The Digital Content and Social Media Manager shall be required to be proficient in videography, photography, photo, and video editing as well as social media management.

A comprehensive understanding of public safety operations is preferred.
