Butcher
POSITION SUMMARY:
The butcher's primary responsibility is to receive and prepare the highest quality food consistently and efficiently. The butcher will also play an integral role in the storage, product rotation, inventory, and waste management of product. Accomplishes all food preparation, cooking methods, procedures and timing to ensure that all food products meet the specifications and quality standards of The Wicked Tuna.
What you'll do as a Butcher

Minimum 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking; at least 6 months experience in a similar capacity

Receive product orders and record inventory as needed

Cut and trim large portions of protein with consistency and efficiency

Consistent adherence to portion sizes, cooking methods, quality and cleanliness standards of The Wicked Tuna

Knowledge and adherence to Health Codes and Food Handling standards

Label, store, and properly rotate product

Team player

Excellent communication
Physical Requirements of a Butcher

Must be able to stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours

Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs.
