Human Resources Assistant


The Human Resource Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization's Human Resources department. This is a growth opportunity role.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  1. Partners with the Human Resources team to understand and execute the organizations Human Resources strategies particularly as it relates to current and future processes, recruitment, succession planning, while developing and upholding the current missions. 
  2. Assistance the talent acquisition process, which include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, while collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  3. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  4. Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  5. Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff.
  6. Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  7. Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  8. Provides clerical support to the HR department.
  9. Assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
  10. Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors.
  11. Assists with new hire orientation.
  12. Aides with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, 401K, employee recognition, and company meetings.
  13. Performs other duties as assigned.
  14. Weekly attendance to Aloha Culture meeting.

  • Prior working knowledge of payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar applications.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Participates in the daily workflow of the department.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.

Education Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field required.
  • Two years Human Resources Assistant generalist experience required.
