Your experience with business start-ups preferably in the online gambling or gaming sector, financial management skills, and a track record delivering results will prove to be crucial. You’re a leader who exhibits a positive attitude and the ability to navigate the complexities of the online gambling industry.

As the CEO, your primary goal is guiding the company towards achieving its strategic goals, ensuring overall success. You are accountable for growth, regulatory compliance, product innovation, profitability, stakeholder management, risk management, corporate social responsibility, and brand development. You will also serve as Chair of OP Bets Executive Committee.

 Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Strategy:

  • Provide visionary leadership, developing and executing the overall strategic direction for OP Bets.
  • Build and foster a positive and collaborative company culture, encouraging innovation and excellence.
  • Develop and communicate a clear and compelling mission that aligns with OP Bets' business objectives.
  • Identify growth opportunities, market trends, and potential risks to ensure sustained profitability.

Team Leadership:

  • Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the OP Bets team, fostering a positive and high-performing culture within the organization.
  • Set clear goals, ensure proper segregation of duties, and ensure effective communication across all departments.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay abreast of relevant laws and regulations governing online sports betting and iGaming platforms.
  • Ensure the company's compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, maintaining appropriate licenses and certifications.

Business Development & Marketing:

  • Identify and pursue strategic partnerships, alliances, and expansion opportunities to enhance the company's market position.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, negotiate agreements, and explore new revenue streams.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective branding, advertising, and promotional strategies in accordance with the relevant laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Enhance the platform's visibility, attract new customers, and retain existing ones through targeted marketing initiatives.

Risk Management:

  • Implement robust risk management strategies both internally and third-party vendors to mitigate potential risks associated with online gambling, cybersecurity, fraud, and other operational challenges.
  • Ensure that the possibility of collusion or unauthorized or illegal activities is minimized on the OP Bets platform.
  • Continuously assess and improve internal controls and security measures.

Customer Experience:

  • Foster a customer-centric approach, ensuring the platform delivers an exceptional user experience.
  • Monitor customer feedback, analyze user behavior, and implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Technology and Innovation:

  • Keep up to date with advancements in technology and industry trends, incorporating innovation into the platform's offerings.
  • Drive technological improvements, optimize the platform's functionality, and explore emerging technologies.

Relationship Building:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, business partners, and customers.
  • Establish a positive public image for OP Bets through effective communication and relationship-building initiatives.

Launch Planning and Execution:

  • Develop a comprehensive launch plan for OP Bets, ensuring a successful entry into the online gambling market in Ontario.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and execute the launch plan efficiently and effectively.

Performance Targets:

  • Set ambitious yet achievable performance targets for the company, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
  • Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly monitor progress towards targets, making data-driven decisions.

Financial Management:

  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation, ensuring fiscal responsibility and sustainability.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimization.
  • Responsible for the P&L and implementing measures to maximize profitability while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree in business management.
  • Proven experience and success in leading startup ventures, ideally in the online gaming or gambling industry.
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory landscape in the online gambling sector.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and negotiate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and execute launch plans, driving successful market entry.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Our initial focus is on servicing the vibrant market in Ontario, Canada.
