PT Nurse Practioner (NP)

Part time Nurse Practitioner needed for our acute psychiatric hospital  primarily Saturdays and Sundays.  Primary duties include medical consults and physicals on patients that have been admitted. Flexibility required to collaborate with other NPs and Physicians to provide coverage for the acute inpatient units and urgent patient needs. Become an integral part of the treatment team, assuring adequate initial and ongoing assessment, helping team members to best utilize and expand their own skills, and providing a resource to team members for all aspects of hospital care.            

Knowledge/experience: Current NP license with prescriptive authority in the State of Texas, experience in pediatrics/family practice desired.  Excellent verbal and written skills along with the ability to communicate and work collaboratively with staff, community providers, patients and families.
