Job Overview

In Chief  Maintenance, you will:

Maintenance personal will be expected to provide exceptional service to all guests.  You are expected to be friendly, courteous, efficient and conduct business in a professional manner at all times.  Maintain the property, including outside grounds, making necessary repairs, preventative maintenance tasks in a manner to guest satisfaction and complete assigned repair orders on general repairs.  Will need to prioritize workday by always placing guest impact and safety items first.  This position requires immediate communication with the General Manager or Manager on Duty with any expected delays in completing repairs.

Maintenance personal will be responsible for Preventive Maintenance Program for rooms.  This will require completing all necessary reporting documentation as required.  Maintain accurate records to include serial numbers of all equipment and logs of maintenance activities as required by law, local ordinance, health regulation, and brand standards.

Requires basic knowledge of maintenance skills. Requires ability to perform Room PMs, minor repairs, and other basic preventative maintenance and repairs as well as general maintenance on property. Performs general minor repairs to plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, kitchen equipment, light carpentry, painting and HVAC systems. Requires ability to receive written and verbal direction in English and speak English clearly. Requires ability to keep records of limited difficulty. Requires ability to be available for emergency repairs. Requires willingness to learn new skills.

Requires ability to walk and stand during the work shift. Requires ability to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally throughout the work week but must be able to lift 25 - 35 pounds intermittently during work shift.

May serve as “Manager-on-Duty” as required.
