Communications Specialist

Kolbe Corp is looking for a dedicated, process-oriented Communications Specialist in Phoenix, Arizona. 


This position is key to keeping us on deadline. If you’re the type of person who NEEDS to mark things off on your checklist at the end of the day, you’ll be valuable in this role. If you can jump right in to help develop campaigns for existing customers, we’re looking for you. If you can help us design and print flyers or build website landing pages, keep reading.  If you can help drive new leads, support internal projects, and manage paid, earned, and owned media...chef’s kiss. 3+ Years of experience in a similar role or agency background preferred

Job Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:  

  • Managing multiple projects and ensuring that budgets and deadlines are met (keep things moving!). 
  • Creating and managing the company editorial calendar (you’ll own this). 
  • Distributing company press releases, blogs, or email newsletters via Mailchimp, Social Media or Cision. 
  • Developing other communication materials such as sales slicks, print ads for sponsorships, shareable social media graphics, videos, written testimonials, proposal templates, logos, and more (we create a lot of content in this department). 
  • Developing and maintaining systems for project management and data collection (we need you to tell us how your channels are performing on a regular basis and how we can improve and how projects are progressing). 
  • Community management for social groups and pages, including coordinating and scheduling organic content and participating in ongoing conversations (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest, etc.). 
  • Coordinating with external resources as needed like designers, writers, photographers. (Bonus points if you have any direct experience with these things, too!). 
Yes, we realize that’s a lot of stuff and nobody is going to be an expert in everything, BUT let us know what your specialties are and any experience you have with delegating to outside vendors/freelancers. At Kolbe, we ALL jump in and do a variety of tasks, and we take professional development very seriously. So, if you don’t happen to have EVERY qualification listed, but you DO happen to be awesome...we still want to hear from you. 


Experience Preferred: 

  • Project management 
  • Working knowledge of marketing automation tools, such as Mailchimp, Hootsuite, Campaign Monitor, etc. 
  • Experience with analytics and ad tracking tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Facebook Ad Manager, Google Ad Words) 
  • Experience with Adobe Marketing Cloud — Illustrator, InDesign, PhotoShop
  • Familiarity with website content management systems such as WordPress 
  • Copywriting for websites, print, and social media content

This position is based in Phoenix, Arizona. We are not currently considering remote-only candidates.
