Surveillance Operator - PT/FT
Cash/Ace Casino is currently seeking Surveillance Operators to join our dynamic team. This position is subject to shift work and will require the operator to be open to work mornings, evenings, or nights
Reports To:
Surveillance Supervisor, Assistant Surveillance Manager, Surveillance Manager.
Position Overview:
The Surveillance Operator plays a major role in visually monitoring all gaming standards within the casino using radios and CCTV equipment. Ensuring all fraudulent or illegal activity is investigated and reported. Position is completely technology based and requires working closely with other departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Flexible with availability to cover open shifts as needed. Position is subject to shift work varying morning, evenings, and nights depending on business needs.
• Visually monitor all areas within the casino and ensure that all illegal activity and activities in violation of casino policies and procedures are investigated and reported.
• Observe table games, slot machines, cash cages, food and beverage areas, entrances, and other high-risk areas on video monitors to detect liability concerns or illegal activity.
• Maintain overall safety for guests and employees.
• Assist AGLC with site investigations as well as assisting local Police with external investigations.
• Act as a first point of contact during emergency situations and immediately alert security supervisor of potentially dangerous situations.
• Observe and record all activity on the gaming floor tables, slot activities, morning slot pulls and counts, table pulls, final counts, all suspicious activity, and all incidents inside and outside the casino’s property in a daily log.
• Track all facility incidents in a yearly incident ledger.
• Designated Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Administrator for the AGLC AML unit, which requires:
o Entering Patron Transaction Reports (PTR) into AGLC provided database.
o Investigating and reporting Unusual Transaction Reports (UTR) to the facility AML Liaison and AGLC
• Report all suspicious activity to supervisor or manager.
• Protect all confidential and sensitive information.
Qualifications:
• Requires following certifications which must be kept up to date:
o Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
o Deal Us In Phase #1
• Requires AGLC Registered Gaming Worker Licensing to be obtained prior to the first shift. This requires a recent criminal record check no older than 3 months.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• At least one (1) year of previous casino surveillance experience is considered an asset. Loss prevention, surveillance or casino security is beneficial.
• A minimum of high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Criminology, Policing Studies, or related field is beneficial.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and internet browsers.
• Basic accounting abilities for calculating monetary items.
• Experience with Table Games preferred (Blackjack, Baccarat, Craps, Roulette, Poker, etc.)
• Must demonstrate good oral and written communication skills using the English language.
• High level of personal accountability, responsibility, collaboration, customer service and work well alone and in a team environment.
• Personal integrity and a desire to follow company and AGLC procedures to protect the public and company assets.
• Well-developed interpersonal, problem solving, conflict resolution and communication skills.
• Excellent observation skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to conduct self in a professional manner and maintain self-control under stressful conditions.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize safety and security needs.
• Self-motivated and willing to learn.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 12 hours. (Operators have the ability to stand and move around the office as time allows).
• Must be able to watch viewing screens for up to 12 hours.
• Irregular lifting of up to 20 Lbs.
