Summary of Position
The Panel Installer exists to install a variety of metal wall panel
systems including but not limited to: exterior ACM panels, exterior and
interior wall panel systems, floor decking and systems, and other products
offered as add-ons to Klover Wall Panel Systems. This position must be familiar
with the tools of the trade and can read, follow, and understand blueprints,
drawings, and work orders. Stick welding certification or carpentry/panel installation experience is necessary.
(Core Competencies) Duties
- Accurately measure and read height, width,
length, and other proportions with a tape measure.
- Assist foreman with proper layout for work to be
put in place.
- Fabricate or alter parts using shears, hammers, punches, or drills.
- Use levels, rules, plumb bobs,
framing squares, and lasers to ensure everything is level and secure.
- Check work along the way to ensure
it meets specification and quality standards.
- Install/use rigging and hoisting
- Install wall panel products
according to specifications and building codes
- Secure metal panels in place,
interlock, and fasten grooved panel edges
- Work at heights with several
- Always exercise the proper use of
- Set up and safely use company
- Weld components (STICK) to building as per specifications.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
Participation in a secondary or
post-secondary trade curriculum
1+ year experience with architectural
metal wall panel installation
· 2+ years experience with stick welding
Knowledge and understanding of construction
safety devices and PPE
Self-motivated to grow personally and
professionally through on-going education as a result of the rate of change in

Panel installers work indoors
and outdoors on many types of construction projects, with varying degrees of
exposure to the elements. This may include extreme heat (>85 degrees for
longer than one hour of exposure), extreme cold (<32 degrees for longer than
one hour of exposure), excessive humidity and noise. Some hazards may be
present such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current,
toxic/caustic chemicals, and slippery/uneven walking surfaces.
Due to the physical nature of the position, employee must have full
dexterity of their hands and arms.
Employee must be able to see objects close and far away
At times, multiple sounds can be heard as employee is working on job,
employee must have the ability to focus on the sound in particular that is associated
with the task they are completing.
Employees with any sort of hearing impairment would not be considered
fit for duty to perform this position.
Due to the safety sensitive nature of the position, at all times,
employee must be fit for duty and not report to work under the influence of a
mind altering or performance altering substance. At no time, should employee be found to be
