MedNOW Clinics is seeking a flexible and patient-focused Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to serve as a Float Provider across multiple clinic locations, including Thornton and surrounding areas.
This role is ideal for a provider who enjoys variety, adaptability, and collaboration. You will deliver high-quality, comprehensive care to diverse patient populations while supporting clinic coverage needs such as provider absences, scheduling gaps, and patient demand fluctuations.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are strongly preferred to support our diverse communities.
- Provide direct patient care including:
- Health histories, physical exams, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Float between assigned clinic locations based on operational needs and schedule
- Order and interpret labs/imaging; prescribe medications within scope
- Educate patients on preventive care, chronic disease management, and lifestyle changes
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for complex cases
- Maintain continuity of care while adapting to different clinic teams and workflows
- Participate in Quality Assurance (QA) and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives
- Utilize MedNOW’s integrated care model (behavioral health, PT, nutrition referrals)
- Maintain accurate documentation in Athena EHR
- Travel between MedNOW clinic locations as scheduled (mileage reimbursement recommended 📌)
- Complete documentation within 48 hours of patient encounters
- Maintain professionalism, adaptability, and teamwork across all clinic sites
- Ensure compliance with all licensure, credentialing, and regulatory requirements
- Develop culturally competent care plans tailored to patient needs
- Active and unrestricted Colorado NP or PA license
- Valid DEA registration
- Current BLS certification
- Experience in Family Practice or Internal Medicine
- Strong clinical, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and adapt to multiple clinic environments
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between clinic sites
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
