Part-time Law Clerk
Legal Services of North Florida is hiring a part-time law student intern to work with clients who have been impacted by COVID-19 pandemic. This position is designed for current law school students interested in advocating for vulnerable members of our community and working to assist those impacted financially by current crisis. The part-time hours can be flexible and accommodate law school class schedules. Interns can work up to a max of 20 hours per week at $15 per hour. Position is available immediately in the Tallahassee office.
Due to the increasing reliance on technology to communicate with federal, state, and local agencies, many low-income and vulnerable populations must rely on legal aid offices to facilitate their request for participation in benefit programs. This will not be a remote work position. This position will require working directly with clients, attorneys, and support staff in the office setting for a portion of the weekly hours.
Responsibilities and duties include assisting the supervising attorney with client intake and other
related interviews; assisting clients seeking assistance during pandemic; working with clients, attorneys, and support staff directly over the phone and in person at the office; preparing filings and administrative forms; and educating the clients on the process.
Please complete application online or go to our
website at www.LSNF.org to obtain the link to apply online. Applicants who do not complete Legal Services of North Florida employment application and submit a resume through the online hiring portal will not be considered for this position.
