Why Tofino
One of the most beautiful places on the planet, Tofino’s very nature speaks to peace, calm and an unequalled connection to the environment. It sprawls on a peninsula within Clayoquot Sound, characterized by wild natural scenery, including lakes, inlets and ancient rainforests.
Sandy beaches with year-round surfing include Cox Bay, Chesterman Beach (a ten-minute walk from Hotel Zed!) and Long Beach. It’s a place that retains a respect for the land and its elders. It’s rustic, but welcoming. It’s vast with a magical and unique sense of place.
