Job Summary

The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for the timely and proper set-up of the hotel breakfast program, maintaining the appearance and par levels of the products and ensuring the proper satisfaction of the guest as required by Peachtree Hospitality Management and Brand standards.


 Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly, both oral and written.

 Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.

 Must be able to work well in stressful, high pressured situations including the ability to handle guest complaints and disputes and resolve them to satisfactory results.

 Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.

 Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.

 Must be effective at listening to, understanding and clarifying concerns and issues raised by team members and guests.

Duties and Functions

 Approach all encounters with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner.

 Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Peachtree Hotel Group standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.

 Maintain high standards of appearance and grooming, which include wearing a correct nametag and uniform when working.

 Have knowledge and understanding of all department policies and procedures, and communicate and enforce all policies fairly and consistently with staff.

 Comply at all times with Peachtree Hotel Group standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.

 Meet all guest requests in a friendly and efficient manner during the entire breakfast period.

 Complies with all food safety and sanitation standards and regulations as required by brand, local, state and federal laws.

 Maintain a clean, neat, and organized the pantry.

 Maintain the breakfast in an organized and sanitary condition throughout the shift.

 Ability to keep food and drink inventories and par levels.

 Rotation of food and beverages to maintain the freshest product for the guests.

 Performs inventories and maintains proper rotation of food items in the pantry.

 Clears and cleans tables in the breakfast area.

 Sweep, mop and/or vacuum areas daily.

 Assist with meeting room coffee and food items set up as directed.

 Report any unsafe, broken or torn items in breakfast and pantry area.

 Maintain breakfast costs at budgeted levels.

 Complete duties within the allotted time and budgeted labor standards.

 Solicits comments from guests and reports any concerns or complaints to management immediately.

 Do any necessary rechecks and update front desk if necessary.

 Assist in checking restrooms during the shift.

 Complete all assigned items on the closing checklist.

 Perform other duties as requested by management.

 Attend all training/meetings as required by management.

Qualification Summary

 High School Diploma or GED certificate is preferred.

 Experience in a hotel environment preferred.

 Some food preparation and handling procedures preferred.

Physical Requirements

 Long hours sometimes required.

 Medium work-exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

 Ability to be on your feet throughout the entire shift.

 Must be able to work early mornings, weekends and holidays as dictated by hotel business levels.
