HOUSEKEEPING - FULLTIME

JOB SUMMARY:  

    Performs all assigned tasks in a professional manner in order to reflect the highest integrity of the Environmental Services Department.

    Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, and clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators and stairways in a clean, neat and sanitary manner. Includes buffing floors as           needed.

WORK HOURS:  Rotating shifts from four to eight hours with some overtime when required  

WORKERS  SUPERVISED: None 

SUPERVISED BY: Department Supervisors, Department Manager

QUALIFICATIONS: 

EDUCATION - Must be able to read and write. 

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

    Job requires no previous experience although current hospital experience is desired.  The employee will complete an orientation program of sufficient duration and content to prepare them for specific duties.

    One to three (1-3) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

JOB KNOWLEDGE

    Job requires employee to perform tasks and assignments under the supervision of Floor Supervisor and/or Department Manager.  Is expected to analyze situations and act within the scope of standard procedures.
