REMOTE OPPORTUNITY

Support the Federal Electronic Health Records Modernization (FEHRM) office as a senior Identity and Access Management (IAM) Strategist.

In order to modernize an IT Enterprise effectively, organizations need help looking at their operation from an outside perspective. Our clients need a Strategist who will take the time to learn the complexities of their enterprise modernization efforts and provide them with tangible advice on improvement, mission success, and standard methodologies. We are looking for someone who can bring a consulting approach to analyze every aspect of a customer’s operations and use specialized experience develop a roadmap to becoming the organization they envision.

As a member on our team, you’ll build an overall picture of the client’s current IAM structure, day-to-day operations, and outcomes in a manner that they may not have thought of before. Through discussions and workshops with leadership and Program Managers, architects, and technologists you will provide recommendations on process transformation. Once you have a solid understanding of where and how the enterprise can improve, you will present the path forward – and the expected results - to leadership.

As an IAM Strategist, you will support the establishment of appropriate communities of interest, working-groups and decision groups related to IAM of the Federal Electronic Health Records (EHR) system. You will develop briefings, write reports and author charters to provide a recommended path forward, organizationally. Your prior IAM experience will also be called upon to monitor IAM issues, risks, activities and plans related to the Federal EHR. Consulting skills are critical; You will build consensus among large stakeholder sets and develop solutions collaboratively. 


Basic Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of professional experience in a professional work environment
  • MA or MS degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other engineering or technical fields or an additional 10 years of experience in a professional work environment in lieu of a degree
  • Experience in an advisory role, orchestrating consensus building activities with senior managers
  • Experience deploying enterprise IAM technologies with a focus on Identity Governance Administration and Access Management
  • Experience with implementing Electronic Health Records
  • Ability to define technical design requirements based on VA and DoD standards, requirements, and guidelines
  • MA or MS degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other engineering or technical fields or an additional 10 years of experience in a professional work environment in lieu of a degree

Additional Qualifications: 

  • Experience in the VA, DoD or both
  • Experience with Cybersecurity tools, network topologies, intrusion detection, PKI, and secured networks
  • Experience with implementing DevSecOps in an enterprise environment
  • Knowledge of containerization, new methods/technologies to handle orchestration, and how those technologies and solutions solve problems
