Assistant Property Manager

Zen Residential Ltd. is seeking a motivated and service-oriented Assistant Property Manager to support the day-to-day operations of a busy residential community.

This role is ideal for someone who is organized, adaptable, and enjoys working with people in a fast-paced environment. As an Assistant Property Manager, you will support leasing, resident relations, rent collection, maintenance coordination, reporting, and overall property operations.

You will work closely with the Property Manager and site team to help ensure residents receive prompt, professional service and that the property is operating efficiently. This is a hands-on role with the opportunity to build a long-term career in property management.

Experience in property management is considered an asset, but we are willing to train the right person who is committed to learning, growing, and delivering excellent service.

What You Will Do

• Support the Property Manager with daily property operations
• Provide prompt, professional service to residents, prospects, and team members
• Assist with leasing, prospect communication, applications, renewals, move-ins, and move-outs
• Support rent collection, arrears follow-up, and tenant communication as required
• Coordinate and follow up on maintenance requests to support timely resolution
• Assist with move-in, move-out, and periodic suite inspections
• Help ensure available suites are clean, market-ready, and accurately listed
• Maintain accurate records, reports, traffic logs, vacancy updates, and system information
• Support resident engagement, community events, and retention initiatives
• Assist with compliance, documentation, property standards, and company policies
• Collaborate with the property team to support operational and financial goals

What You Bring

• Experience in property management, leasing, customer service, administration, or a related role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach
• Excellent organization skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and follow-up
• Comfort using Microsoft Office and willingness to learn property management software
• Yardi experience is considered an asset
• Knowledge of residential leasing practices and property management regulations is considered an asset
• Professional, reliable, and service-driven approach
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the industry
