Media Production Manager

The National WWII Museum is seeking Media Production Manager who is responsible for the digital presentation of multimedia content designed to support the Museum’s mission, serving as a key videographer and producer. The Media Production Manager will work as part of a collaborative team to plan and execute video, audio, and other digital media projects for Museum initiatives. This role will help shape the digital presentation of the Museum’s educational, programmatic, and interpretive content, for audiences both online and onsite. Projects range from videos in support of the institutional advancement mission to projects that spotlight the most unique stories the Museum has to offer, making use of the Museum’s vast collection.

The ideal candidate has experience producing video content specifically for the web, has expertise with best practices, and can create visual content across digital platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize media initiatives from storyboards to shot lists, seeing through assigned productions from start to finish.
  • Develop processes to manage video and multimedia production workflow, communications, and deliverables with other internal departments.
  • Along with other Media Production Manager, shoot and edit content across the Museum and deliver on production and distribution requests from all departments in desired formats.
  • Work with and manage external vendors, crew, and contractors as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • College or technical degree in media arts, film/television production, broadcast journalism, communications is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience in a production or post-production role.
  • Extensive knowledge on operating cinematic mirror-less cameras. Hardware and equipment expertise. Must have knowledge of audio, grip, and lighting gear.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Premiere and Audition.
  • Proficiency in design of non-linear graphics in Adobe After Effects is preferred.
  • Willingness to work overtime during high-demand periods, Museum events, and other needs as identified.
  • As needed, be willing to work a flexible schedule that may extend outside of the typical 40 hour work week, including weekends and evenings, to complete tasks and meet deadlines.
