Controls Engineer
Infintium is a team of engineers developing next generation small and medium fuel cell systems. We are looking for active, driven, and self-motivated individuals to develop and support the systems, application control needs, and manufacturing and corporate operations for our growing list of fuel cell products in an aggressively expanding market.
We are currently seeking a Controls Engineer to help us support our Engineering department in initiatives to put great products into our customer's hands.
As Infintium works to continue advancement and development in the hydrogen fuel cell marketplace, the need to expand our growing team has never been higher. The ideal Test/ Validation Engineer will be able to work in tandem with our team of engineers to assist with our current project load related to the industrial market rollout of new hydrogen fuel cell products. This role is perfect for gaining hands-on experience in a start-up environment.

Responsibilities / Duties:
This role at Infintium is expected to:
· Drive product application software development
o Scope, propose, and meet software project tasks and timelines
o Provide expert input during design stages that address the needs for robust system control
§ P&ID generation
§ Hardware/Component selection
§ Sensor selection/placement
§ Failure Analysis (DFMEA, HAZOP, etc.)
o Prepare documentation that clearly communicates and tracks the software design process
§ Control Requirements Specification
§ System Operability Specification
§ Protection Matrix
§ Software Validation Procedures
o Develop application software in embedded C (GCC) programming environment
· Generate Technical Product documentation related to the application software
o Commissioning/Startup procedures
o Operating Manuals
o Diagnostic/Troubleshooting Guides
· Assist in establishing and refining applied coding practices
o Generating Design Standards for commonality across product platforms using best practices
o Developing standardized library functions for control software environment
o Improving Configuration Management and software release methodology
- Assist in development of system models for simulation and model-based control
Required Qualifications / Experience:
The applicant for this position must meet these requisites:
· B.S. in a STEM major (Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical Engineer preferred) with 3-5 years of application control development in high-reliability systems, such as those found in automotive/industrial/aerospace sectors
· Experience programming in embedded C language for real-time control
· Ability to scope work and estimate required effort – time management skills
· Interpersonal skills – customer interaction and effective small team member
Desired Knowledge / Skills:
In addition, the ideal applicant also would meet the following:
· MS in Engineering discipline with emphasis in Controls
· Expertise in developing dynamic models of multi-domain physical systems for HIL and/or SIL simulation
· Experience with model-based control development and application in real-time control systems
