Bulk Materials & Yard Team Member
Location: South Surrey – West Coast Gardens
Hours: 8:30am–5:00pm | 30–40 hours per week
Pay: $20-22/hr
Duration: March–June (possibility to continue into summer season)
About the Role:
The role focuses on assisting customers with bulk landscape materials, operating equipment, processing orders, and ensuring the yard and kiosk operate efficiently.
This is an active, hands-on role working both outdoors and in the retail environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service by acknowledging and greeting customers
Assist customers with loading bulk soil and landscape products into vehicles
Conduct daily pre-trip inspections on tractor and forklift equipment
Keep machinery and equipment clean, fueled, and well maintained
Deliver landscape materials to homes using a mini dump truck
Ensure the kiosk is stocked daily and notify the Retail Manager when inventory is low
Follow all health and safety regulations
Qualifications:
Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
Clean driver’s abstract
Tractor and SDCB forklift experience considered an asset
Minimum 1 year customer service experience
Landscaping knowledge considered an asset
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying outdoor temperatures
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Reliable transportation is recommended as the location is not accessible by bus.
