Responsible for open and closing the shift. Ensures linen closets are stocked and properly maintained. Supervises the productivity of housekeeping employees and properly updates the PMS system for all housekeeping functions. Ensures all room assignments are completed. Will be responsible to input hotel issues into the Engineering tracking system and coordinates with the Engineering department to ensure all hotel maintenance issues are communicated and resolved. Ensure staff’s compliance to established appearance and uniform standards. Maintains superior guest relations and resolves any issues related to areas of responsibility. Trains new employees on proper procedures and policies. Ensures employee training and retraining is conducted. Coaches and counsels staff to nurture the success of the employee. Responsible to complete evaluations for housekeeping team. Will assist in scheduling housekeeping employees to ensure all areas are covered. Will interview housekeeping employees. Ensures staff’s compliance to all established company policies and procedures. Coordinates and ensures completion of assigned special projects.
At least one year’s experience in housekeeping operations preferred. Excellent organizational skills. High school diploma. Must be able to lift and transport up to 50 lbs.
