The Arts & Crafts Camp Leader is a vital team member dedicated to providing a safe, engaging, and enriching camp experience for children in grades K–5 Under the guidance of the Site Supervisor, this role leads creative activities, supervises campers, and fosters a positive, supportive environment where every child can express themselves.

 Responsibilities

·         Provide direct supervision to campers (K–8th grade) to ensure safety and well-being

·         Plan and implement engaging arts and crafts activities

·         Encourage creativity, self-expression, and confidence

·         Prepare, organize, and maintain program supplies and materials

·         Keep activity areas clean, safe, and organized

·         Build positive, professional relationships with campers and parents

·         Model YMCA core values: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility

 Qualifications

·         Experience working with school-age children

·         Background or strong interest in art, crafts, or creative programming

·         Strong communication and classroom/group management skills

·         Ability to manage multiple children in an active camp setting

·         Energetic, patient, creative, and team-oriented
