Kitchen Manager

Location: 446 South 4th Street, 4th Street Live!, Louisville, KY 40202

Our upscale casual, modern Italian restaurant is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house team. We are passionate about serving high-quality Italian cuisine, with nearly all of our ingredients and recipes prepared from scratch in-house. We're looking for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and is committed to culinary excellence.

• Lead and supervise all back-of-house operations

• Coach, train, and develop kitchen team members

• Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and recipe execution

• Manage daily prep, line operations, and kitchen workflow

• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and health department standards

• Schedule kitchen staff and monitor labor costs

• Assist with inventory, ordering, receiving, and cost control

• Minimize waste while maintaining product quality

• Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture

• Work alongside the kitchen team during service and lead by example

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or strong Kitchen Supervisor

• Proven leadership and team development skills

• Experience in high-volume restaurant operations

• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Ability to multitask and perform under pressure

• Passion for scratch cooking and quality-driven food execution

• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
