RN- Senior Care

Position Purpose

 The Registered Nurse is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for adult and aging adult patients during a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment and other health care team members.  Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein

Position Qualifications

Education:

Graduate of a RN program.

Experience:  One to three years of psychiatric nursing required, three to five years preferred.  Must possess strong verbal and written skills.  Must be flexible regarding priorities.  Requires ability to work as part of a team and willing to assist others when needed.

Licenses/Certificates:

Current license for the State of Mississippi or within a compact state. 

Certification in BLS and CPI training prior to employment preferred but not required.
