Field Service Technician - Controls

HVAC Concepts, a leading Building Automation Systems and integration company, primarily serving customers in MD, DC, and VA, is looking for a Field Service Technician for controls systems that can service and troubleshoot Building Automation Systems in a commercial environment.
The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Service of existing EMS/BAS as directed by supervisor.
- Service installation work such as (but not limited to) sensor, relay, programming, or controller replacement or additions.
- Service IT work such as (but not limited to) router power cycling, router configuration, testing of internet connectivity.
- Replacement or repair of damaged or removed network or electrical wiring for EMS/BAS.
- Coordinating on service calls with Service Operations Coordinator to resolve issues and verify resolutions.
- Ongoing company and self-learning and growth including, but not limited to: formal trainings, reading documentation and literature.
- Maintaining and monitoring an appropriate service stock of controllers, sensors, transformers, relays, etc.
- Maintaining an appropriate stock of tools and service equipment.
- Will develop programming skills in order to be self-sufficient for providing service when remote programming support is not possible or available.
- Development of Training Path with immediate supervisor for OEM Training, Product Training.
- Safe use and maintenance of a company vehicle to keep in good operating condition.
- Presenting a positive, professional, and helpful presence to our customers as the face of our service
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of experience in industry related technical field, including HVAC Systems and DDC Systems
- Strong working knowledge of basic BAS control components (AI, UI, DO, DI, Relays, Triacs, etc)
- Strong working knowledge and adherence of National Electric Code
- Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems sequence
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
