Job Overview

All members of our staff, our Night Audit will possess the ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This will involve listening to the nature of concern, demonstrate empathy with the customer, anticipating guest needs, and creating positive and memorable guest experiences.

The Night Audit will be responsible for greeting customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome. They will use a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate action and provide accurate information such as outlet hours and local attractions. This individual will also promptly answer phone calls, take reservations, complete the registration process, and applying charges and payment to guest folios.

Night Audit will be responsible for completing required shift paperwork, reports as assigned by General Manager, and end of shift cash closing procedures.  The Night Auditor will be responsible for reconciling end of day cashier transactions, reviewing and compiling date for reporting, and ensuring the accuracy of guest billings and city ledger transactions, in addition to basic hotel functions such guest registration and checkout

Job responsibilities will include:

  • Run audit reports from all computer profit centers and outlets;
  • Make corrections and adjustments to guest folios or city ledger accounts;
  • Handle computer problems that may occur throughout their shift;
  • Balance all revenue and settlement accounts nightly;
  • Maintain files and reset the system for the next day’s operations.

The ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve.  Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.  Will need to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system.  This individual must possess some accounting knowledge as it relates to accounts receivable and account payable, basic mathematical skills, ability to effectively deal with guests and employees, ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer, have the ability to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to understand and communicate with employees and guests, and must have excellent telephone etiquette.

Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma or any other combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities. Hotel experience is preferred yet not required.    Night Audit will be required to stand 50% of their scheduled shift and be efficient during each schedule shift. . 

Shift: 11:00PM - 7:00AM  - Hiring Full-Time and Part-Time
