Work Hours: Seasonal, Full-time + Part-time roles available
Location: Central Burnaby / Vancouver
Wages: $21-22/hr per hour PLUS add in accumulation of holiday pay, daily overtime, pooled commission. Your hourly wage works out to be $23-$25 per hour
+ Extended Health benefits (Company pays ½ while working full time if you opt in)
Training Wage: $19/hr with Class 5 and GLWCS pays for Class 2 training
At Gray Line Westcoast Sightseeing, we are hiring new stars to join our Hop-On, Hop-Off City Sightseeing Driver team. If you have a passion for showing off Vancouver to visitors from around the world? YOUR WORK WILL INCLUDE:
• Driving a tour bus on a fixed, scheduled route around Downtown Vancouver in a safe manner
• Driving safely and efficiently to keep on schedule to posted route timing
• Providing exceptional service to our guests
• Performing daily pre and post-trip inspections
• Promoting partner attractions and online reviews
• Effective and professional communication over radio/phone
• Ability to adapt quickly and efficiently to changing traffic patterns, street closures or detours
• Accurately perform credit transactions using point of sale terminals
• Professionally handle guest queries and concerns
• Available to work a full-time schedule over the peak summer touring months
WHAT WE WILL LIKE ABOUT YOU:
• You have a friendly + outgoing personality with a guest first focus
• You possess a valid BC Class 1 OR Class 2 Licence with air brake endorsement, with clean driver abstract
• You possess a professional attitude and appearance
• You have the flexibility to accommodate a changing schedule, available to work any day of the week, and an average shift length of 10-11 hours per day
• You have previous experience working in a customer service role
• You have the ability to work well both independently with minimum direction, and as part of a team
• You are fluent in English, written and oral. Ability to speak a second language is a bonus.
• You are legally entitled to work in Canada
