Cassena Care at Norwalk is actively seeking an Admissions Coordinator to join our dynamic team of professionals!

Position Summary: Obtain required information and admit residents in an efficient manner, in accordance with established policies and procedures, as directed by your supervisor. As the Admissions Coordinator, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties


  • Minimum Associates Degree preferred
  • Minimum 2-5 years’ experience as a successful Admissions Coordinator in a short term rehabilitation/long term care facility
  • Healthcare, sales, marketing experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, typing, medical terminology knowledge and data entry required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; possess the ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors.


Duties and responsibilities:

  • Receive and follow work schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlines in our established policies and procedures.
  • Assist in interviewing residents/guardians and obtaining required information and signatures.
  • Assist in the orientation program for residents/personnel in accordance with our established policies and procedures.
  • Admit and prepare identification records for residents in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Assist in recording all incidents/accidents. File in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Obtain the resident/guardian’s signature on all required permits, releases, authorizations, etc.
  • Maintain a current listing of all residents, their level of care, and assigned room numbers. Provide copies of such listing to nursing service, administrative personnel, government agencies and personnel, etc., as necessary.
  • Keep abreast of current federal and state regulations, pertaining to Medicare, Medicaid and Long-Term Care, and make recommendations on changes in policies and procedures to the Administrator.
  • Assist in developing and implementing policies for identification of financial resources of the resident.
  • Participate in community planning related to the interests of the facility and the services and needs of the resident and family.
  • Perform administrative requirements, such as completing forms, reports, etc., and submitting such to Administrator as required.
