The Porter position at Harvest Moon Catering is an entry-level, highly active role starting at $18.00 per hour with opportunities for growth. It is designed to fit the schedules of high school and college students, offering shifts primarily on weekends and after-school hours. 

Complete Job Requirements

• Physical Stamina: Willing to stand and move on your feet for up to 10 hours at a time.
  
• Heavy Lifting: Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs regularly.
  
• Organization Skills: Must be highly organized to manage event inventory
  
• Workplace Adaptability: Comfortable working in various environments (kitchens, outdoor venues, wineries, private homes).
  
• Transportation: Mandatory requirement to have your own reliable transportation to get to off-site events.
  
• Soft Skills: Must be a team player, follow directions well, and be eager to learn new skills. 
  

  Key Responsibilities

  • Loading & Unloading: Moving catering equipment, food boxes, and event supplies.
    
  • Venue Setup: Organizing tables, chairs, and field kitchen structures.
    
  • Station Set-Up and Maintenance: Setting up the “drop” in an organized manner, ensuring everything is in order. Maintaining a clean area, keeping rentals separated properly, separating compost, trash and recycling.
    
  • Inventory Control: Tracking rental items to prevent loss during off-site events.
