Office Furniture Installer

We are currently seeking a highly motivated, dedicated, energetic and team-oriented individual to join our Furniture Service Team based in Moncton, New Brunswick. If you have a positive, “can-do†attitude, and want to be part of a great team, this could be a great opportunity for you.
Summary of Position:
As an integral part of the Furniture Service Team and reporting to the Lead Installer, the Installer serves as one of the primary representatives between FCS, Office Interiors and the client, and facilitates the delivery and installation of products to new and existing accounts. Responsibilities:
Day-to-day responsibilities would include, but are not limited to:
- Contacts customers in advance to arrange (or re-schedule) delivery time and install date.
- Loads, transports, delivers and installs required product.
- Upon arriving on job site, surveys the site to ensure that the condition of the job site is safe and will allow for productive install. If the condition of the site does not meet the criteria, immediately contacts Office Interiors' Sales Representative to resolve any issues prior to proceeding with the offload or install.
- Delivers, unpacks and stages client product based on supplied drawings and product list as per the SIF file.
- Installs product according to manufacturer's instructions and CAD drawings.
- For all jobs, ensures that the installation area and product are properly cleaned once the installation is complete and that all garbage related to the installation is removed.
- Reviews the installation of the product or service work performed (walk around) with the client and gets the client sign off indicating that the installation or service work is complete.
- Completes and submits the Quality Report for all jobs as outlined.
- Acts in a professional and respectful manner when dealing with customers.
- Drives company vehicles with due caution and under the guidelines of the provincial laws. Keeps the inside of the vehicle clean and free of garbage and debris at all times.
- Maintains a log of working hours and mileage, turning in a weekly copy along with any receipts related to operations. Keeps track of vehicle service requirements and repair status, following applicable provincial and federal regulations.
Required / Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, communication (both verbal and written), time management and organizational skills. Must be punctual and possess a strong work ethic. Must also be able to lift 70lbs on a frequent basis and be able to be physically active for prolonged periods, as well as willing to work overtime occasionally depending on clients' schedule.
- Must be able to prioritize work, be flexible, operate in a team environment, work with minimum supervision and interact with internal and external clients in a professional manner.
- Has some mechanical aptitude, a valid driver's license, a clean motor vehicle abstract, and displays a willingness to learn and upgrade skills as required.
