GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Back Shop 2 (Senior Attendant) will be working at the Miskanaw Golf Club as a support to the overall day to day operations of the facility. Under the Supervision of the PGA of Alberta Assistant Professional, the Back Shop 2 (Senior Attendant) will provide customer service to golf patrons as well as maintain a well-organized and clean back shop. This position also requires helping out with Marshalling and Starting on the golf course as well as being responsible for opening and closing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Driving Range duties: Picking range balls and related cleaning and cleanliness of general driving range area (range tees, garbage, etc.), making sure range balls are ready for golf patron use at all times.
• Club Storage duties: Retrieve and clean golf bags and clubs before and after golf patron rounds.
• Power cart duties: Parking carts in order, washing and cleaning carts, basic maintenance (flat tires, gassing, etc.), monitor carts for maintenance issues, loading and unloading carts, ensuring that carts have been filled with necessary materials.
• General cleaning: Sweeping/cleaning of outside area (from driving range to end of cart area), back shop cleaning and organizing, cleaning of rental and club storage for members.
• Being available to meet the golf patrons needs: Referring to pro shop, front desk, etc., providing special attention to any assistance needed by a member.
• Perform all closing duties as outlined in the standards of service booklet.
• Assisting Marshalling: Tracking pace of play on the golf course with the use of the tee-sheet and the Yama-track GPS system. Includes interacting with the customer making them aware of their pace and ensuring the code of conduct is being adhered to.
• Assisting Starting: Acting as a representative on the 1st tee making sure everything is running on time and all golf patrons have checked in with pro shop before teeing off.
• Performing other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience
• Enrolled in High School
• Must be 15 years of age or older
• Valid Class 7 Drivers Permit
• Customer service skills with a minimum of six (6) months of customer service experience as an asset
• Experience working in teams to accomplish day-to-day tasks

WORKING CONDITIONS
• This position requires a flexible schedule including statutory holidays, early morning, late night, and weekend work.
• This position may include heavy lifting of supplies and equipment up to 50 lbs. Must have the ability to bend, squat and frequently lift 25 lbs.
• Job involves working under variable temperature conditions and noise levels, in indoor and outdoor settings.
