Position Summary:

This position reports to the Commercial and Private Banking Officer. This position is responsible for assisting customers desiring to open bank accounts, explaining banking services available to prospective customers and assisting them in preparing application forms.

 Essential Functions:

·         Assist clients in opening new accounts, and identify sales opportunities for other banking products and services, based on client needs.  

·         Inform customers of procedures for applying for services such as ATM or debit cards, direct deposit of checks and certificates of deposit.

·         Answer customers' questions, and explain available services such as deposit accounts,. Online banking, mobile banking, etc.

·         Compile information about new accounts, enter account information into computers, and file related forms or other documents.

·         Investigate and refer errors to appropriate bank personnel. 

·         Adhere to all bank policies and compliance standards.

·         Assisting others in department with workflow as deemed appropriate by manager.

·         Manage daily overdrafts for department and make recommendations to officer for disposition, depending on position level.

·         Obtain and compile copies of loan applicants’ credit histories, corporate financial statements, and other financial information.

·         Run credit reports.

·         Assist with or manage and clear exceptions, depending on position level.

·         All other duties assigned.

·         Problem Sensitivity - The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.

 Experience and Education

High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate);   5+ years of banking (branch) experience, with at least 2 years of Relationship Manager related experience.
