Youth Employment Coordinator will work 37.5 hours per week: Monday – Friday
8:30 am – 4:30 pm, unless otherwise agreed upon. Evening hours may be
required to meet the needs of JEC programming.
Responsible for coordinating primarily JEC youth employment
programs; day-to-day partner management and engagement, data-entry, and
building relationships with youth and employers.
This position requires interaction with the JEC
team, agency partners, and clients of Worcester Community Action Council, Inc. Excellent
customer service skills are critical.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide supplemental supervision to the Summer Youth Works
staff, ensure appropriate coverage and staffing at all times.
- Participate in hiring/on boarding and termination process
of Summer Youth Works staff as needed.
- Assist both Year-Round and Summer Youth Works staff through
conflict resolution and sharing program responsibilities.
- Work with JEC Manager of Youth Initiatives to engage
employers who will host youth during youth employment programming.
- Maintain positive working relationships with employer
partners. Communicate regularly with
worksite supervisors to ensure a successful experience.
- Help complete reports to meet youth employment goals as
established by WCAC, partner agencies, and/or funders.
- Assist in the development of best practices for youth
outreach and recruitment, youth employment and work- readiness programs and
partner management. Assist in center-wide reporting and data collection
- Review accuracy of timesheets and payroll submission.
- Manage and coordinate weekly site visits to employer partners.
- Work with Manager of Youth Initiatives and Youth Works Case
Managers to coordinate youth job placement process.
- Plan, execute and help facilitate training to youth
employment programming staff, to include funder compliance, process, work
readiness curriculum, and program design.
- Work with Career Pathways Coordinator, and other program
leads to select and/or design appropriate curriculum to integrate comprehensive
work readiness content in all JEC programming.
- Establish and maintain positive mentoring relationship with
