Lead Maintenance Tech

POSITION SUMMARY:                 

The Lead Maintenance Technician will be accountable for performing all daily tasks associated with property operations and maintenance including, but not limited to: perform general repairs and services in all maintenance-related disciplines, e.g. carpentry, mechanics, plumbing, and minor electrical.  This position is also responsible for responding to urgent requests, prioritizing as necessary and delegating.



·         Ability to maintain and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing equipment.

·         Ability to perform carpentry, repair work, construction and renovation work.

·         Perform all daily tasks for upkeep of club facilities, including carpentry, mechanics, plumbing, HVAC, electrical.

·         Complete all assigned preventive maintenance tasks according to schedule.

·         Prioritize work orders and complete tasks accordingly.

·         Work with outside contractors, as directed.

·         Oversees work of assigned maintenance team employees.

·         Addresses minor discipline problems with team members; refers more serious cases to maintenance supervisor.

·         Assist with training of new team members.

·         Collaborates with team members to discuss upcoming work assignments; delegates assignments based on team members skills and experience.

·         Ensures maintenance and repair work is completely safely, effectively, and in a timely manner.

·         Assists team members with technical issues or advanced problems with given assignments.

·         Inspects work performed by team members.

·         Tracks and logs workers time, materials, and other resources used for inventory purposes.

·         Maintain effective communication and cooperation with all other departments.

·         Maintain positive interactions with all club members and guests, providing a high level of customer service.

·         Maintain a safe work environment.

·         Perform any and all duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager or other members of the senior management team, as deemed appropriate.





·         Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a construction or maintenance field.

·         Works well independently and with others.

·         Working knowledge of hotel/resort operations preferred.

·         Must possess hospitality skills and be guest oriented.

·         Supervisory experience preferred.

·         Good communication skills

·         Strategic thinking

·         Team player

·         Strong leadership skills.

·         Good computer skills.

·         Ability to maintain positive relationships with members, guests, fellow employees, and department managers.

·         Positive engaged disposition with willingness to learn and progress

·         Drivers license and clean driving record.

·         Pool experience CPO certifications preferred.

·         Able to work flexible hours, including nights, holidays, and weekends.


Physical Requirements:

·         Position requires walking and standing most of the working day; must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 10 hours in length. 

·         Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks.

·         Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.

·         Must be able to traverse property and facilities
