Responsibilities
- Responsible for preparing event packets for events in a timely manner
- Packing lists
- Signage
- Timelines – as needed
- Ensure vans and trucks are packed correctly for events and drop-offs
- Oversee and train new staff for events
- Make sure all events/drop-offs are on time and staff accordingly
- Attend site tours to learn event layouts prior to the event
- Make sure vans/trucks have gas and are clean
- Ordering for events – beer, wine, liquor, disposables, Alsco linens
- Apply for Alcohol permits for events as needed.
- Capable of learning how to navigate our catering software to view the calendar and upcoming events.
- Handle inventory each month
- Make sure downstairs equipment and supplies is neat and tidy
- Write professional and efficient emails to staff, clients, and vendors regarding event set-up
- Work at times with minimal supervision, and accomplish tasks without direct instruction, and problem-solve for the best solutions
- Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
- Sense of urgency
- Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays and extended hours as business dictates
- Physical expectations include working in a standing position for long periods of time, as well as can reach, bending, stooping and frequently lifting up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds. All food and alcohol handlers’ permits are required (or can be acquired).
- Sub in for servers/bartenders/captains as needed.
Pay: hourly with the potential to move to salary as we see an end to COVID-19.
