We are seeking a qualified Project Manager to support a potential contract award with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Human Capital Services Center (HCSC) Information Technology (IT) Support Services. This role is contingent upon contract award and will play a critical part in our efforts to deliver exceptional results for this opportunity.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Project Manager provides leadership and oversight for IT and cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring successful planning, execution, and implementation of cloud and security solutions for federal agencies. This role requires expertise in project management, cloud security, and compliance with federal cybersecurity standards. The Project Manager will serve as a key liaison between stakeholders, technical teams, and government leadership to ensure project goals align with agency requirements and industry best practices.
Responsibilities include:

Lead and manage IT and cloud security projects, translating customer requirements into actionable tasks for technical teams.

Oversee the design, development, engineering, and implementation of secure cloud solutions within federal and/or commercial environments.

Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity policies, processes, and standards, including FedRAMP, RMF, and ATO requirements.

Guide teams through Federal Assessment & Authorization (A&A) and Authority to Operate (ATO) processes.

Provide strategic direction on cybersecurity engineering requirements and authorizations.

Manage risk assessment activities, security controls implementation, and continuous monitoring efforts.

Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.

Lead cross-functional teams in executing security engineering and cloud security projects that align with agency goals.

Ensure adherence to federal security frameworks and industry best practices, optimizing IT security posture.

Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership and federal stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Assurance, Information Security, Information Resource Management, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of project management experience, including at least 5 years of experience in cybersecurity and cloud security within a government agency similar in size and scope to the Department of Defense (DoD) or Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

Project Management Professional (PMP)

Information Assurance Technician (IAT) III

Information Assurance Management (IAM) III

Information Assurance System Architects and Engineers (IASAE) III
Preferred Qualifications:

Extensive experience managing IT security projects within federal agencies.

Deep understanding of cloud security frameworks, policies, and federal compliance requirements.

Proven track record of successfully managing cybersecurity initiatives and risk management processes.

Strong leadership and communication skills to interface with federal leadership and technical teams.

Knowledge of emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies to enhance security strategies.
SALARY:
Salary is commensurate with both location and experience.
