Job Summary

The Information Technology Specialist is responsible for providing technology support to First Bank employees, as well as assist the Information Technology Department with special projects and helping with complex work-related problems that may affect the connectivity of our end users and customers.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Monitor and maintain the availability of end-user LAN connectivity and technology resources including servers, workstations, laptops, printers, and multimedia equipment.
  2. Provide first-level support for end-users by answering questions and troubleshooting issues related to general technical problems, including password resets, user lock-out, and other.
  3. Ensure that all workstations are operating properly by providing preventative maintenance, which include repairing equipment and troubleshooting when necessary.
  4. Monitor capacity reports weekly to ensure all Microsoft Windows and third-party patches are applied, anti-virus is up-to-date, and disk storage is adequate.

 

Secondary or Additional Job Duties

  1. Provide user end-support for Jack Henry applications and escalate service as needed.
  2. Monitor batch jobs and other processes critical to daily operation and report any issues to the Senior IT Specialist.
  3. Assist Senior IT Specialist to deploy new machines and maintain operating systems, applications, drivers, and network configurations to be the most current and compliant.
  4. Assist Senior IT Specialist to provide support to other departments and vendors as required during projects and other assignments.
  5. Assist Senior IT Specialist to monitor and provide support for disaster recovery functions, including backups, replication, and site maintenance.

Experience and Other Requirements

  1. College, Junior College, Trade education or equivalent education or training, or a combination of education and training in computer-related background.
  2. Satisfactory Credit Bureau and Background report.
  3. Typing, Fax Machine, Photocopier, Computer skills required including Word and Excel programs.
  4. Critical thinking and using logic and reasoning.
  5. Good verbal, written and telephone communication skills.
  6. Ability to maintain composure and skilled in customer service.
  7. Good time management and organizational skills.
  8. Maintain flexible schedule to be available during emergencies or planned maintenance including nights, weekends, or holidays, as needed.
  9. Travel to and from First Bank locations as needed.
  10. Stay up to date of technological advancements and trends in information technology by attending user groups and/or webinars or other education opportunities.
  11. Comply with all department and company objectives and goals.
  12. Maintain thorough knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations regarding IT policies including a thorough knowledge of FFIEC.
  13. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  14. Demonstrate prioritization and time management skills and attention to detail.
  15. Research and resolve problems with minimal supervision.
