Gatehouse & Collections Attendant

Manning Park Resort, BC Seasonal $18.00/hour

We are presently searching for our next talented team member as a Gatehouse Attendant to join our Park Operations team. If you can provide our guests with an amazing experience, combined with working as an energetic part of our resort, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities include: (but not limited to)

* Collection of parks fees, firewood sales, register campers.

* Complete end of shift duties; balancing deposit, completion of logbooks, submitting deposit for safekeeping).

* Monitor and provide reports on occupancy of campsites to Park Management.

* Provide site security and enforcement of Park policies; report incidents and occurrences efficiently to lead hand, supervisor, or manager.

* Ensure elevated levels of customer service; provide campers with information on park activities (hiking, fishing, canoeing).

* Respond to campers' inquiries and provide assistance when required.

* Represent BC Parks and Manning Park Resort in a professional manner.

* Record and report traffic counter results and park stats.

* Clean and maintain parks facilities according to BC Parks standards (including but not limited to pit toilets, garbage bins, campsites, picnic tables, firepits communal areas, wash houses, and shower stalls).

* Emptying garbage and recycling bins.

* Equipment inspection and maintenance.

* Assist the operation department with other tasks as required which may include but is not limited to cleaning and maintaining parks facilities such as pit toilets, garbage bins, campsites, picnic tables, firepits communal areas, wash houses, and shower stalls


Job Requirements / Qualifications:

* Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

* Ability to work in a high-paced environment as both an individual and team player.

* Effective time management and organizational skills.

* Previous experience handling money and record keeping.

* Clean drivers abstract and criminal record check.

* Minimum Class 5 driver's license.

* Available to work flexible hours; morning/evening shifts will be required. 32-40hrs per week.

* Able to lift and carry 50 lbs.

* Basic First Aid Certification (8hrs) is an asset.

* Experience with landscaping and working with power tools an asset.

* Value safe working practices.

* Fluent in English.

 

This is a Seasonal position, so you must be able to commit to the role for the full Summer Season (May-October).
