The National WWII Museum is currently seeking a Teacher Programs Intern.  This paid internship opportunity is responsible for assisting the Teacher Programs and Curriculum Specialist in preparing for and facilitating the Museum’s summer teacher training programs.  Every July, The National WWII Museum holds three weeklong workshops for Humanities and STEM K-12 teachers and this position will assist in preparing materials for these programs and facilitating the logistics of the programs.  The Teacher Programs Intern will have the opportunity to participate in many of the professional development sessions and field trips organized for the teacher participants.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing materials such as welcome packets, session handouts, and other supplies before and during the workshops.
  • Helping to organize logistics of the program including handing out materials, checking in participants, checking on catered meals, etc.
  • Assisting the Teacher Programs and Curriculum Specialist with other tasks as needed.

The ideal candidate is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s level program in education, history, museum studies, or a related field.  Strong organizational skills and an interest in teaching and teacher professional development are required.
