REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to work in flexible shift including weekends and holidays
  • Must be willing to do flexible tasks including work in other Food & Beverage outlets
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Post-offer, pre-employment drug test and criminal background check required for the position

SUMMARY

Assist the banquet captain in banquet preparation to include set up, break down and serving to exceed guest expectations by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

AM Shift

  • Regular attendance.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • Wear a skid-resistant work shoe with good support.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Be able to work in outdoor, hot and humid weather.
  • Greet each guest with a welcoming smile and be ready to serve.
  • Make certain that all banquet equipment is clean and in good repair.
  • Set up banquet room (this includes moving furniture), making certain that there are adequate tables, chairs, and table settings to accommodate guests.
  • Replenish supply of clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes in dining room.
  • Serve food to guests.
  • Check guest satisfaction frequently and determine if anything else is needed.
  • Be able to lift and carry food trays up to 50 lbs.
  • Cleaning duties including emptying trash, sweeping, mopping and washing dishes.
  • Ensure that the work area is cleaned and sanitized for the following shift.
  • Completely break down event setups after the function ends.
  • Prep, cooking, cleaning back of the house
  • Other duties may be assigned.

PM Shift

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

 Must be familiar with and able to operate mechanical dishwashers and electric coffee and tea urns.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Back belts are required when lifting heavy loads.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
