At United Mechanical we offer commercial and institutional HVAC, electrical, and plumbing services throughout the entire Southwest Florida region. Our areas of expertise range from hospital/healthcare, school systems & universities, hospitality, and commercial facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Answer inbound calls, greeting all customers courteously, determining their needs and serve as a customer service point of contact

• Gather required service work order information: Customer information such as company name, contact name, address, and phone number; Equipment/unit information; Requested repair, complaint, and/or failure. Gather details such as operating conditions at the time the complaint/failure occurred

• Call customers to schedule contract visits, confirm appointments, and to offer renewals to customers with expiring Preventative Maintenance Memberships

• Verify and maintain accurate customer files

• Manage Preventative Maintenance Memberships from creation of contract to completion of services

• General office duties: filing, incoming and outgoing mail, order office supplies

• Provide administrative support to team members as needed and assist in team members absence

• Demonstrate a positive attitude and a high level of personal credibility and integrity with customers, management, and co-workers

• Maintain company confidentiality

• Attend and participate in all meetings, training, and activities as required

• Stay apprised of new techniques relevant to the work being performed; achieve and maintain technical competency

• Adhere to all company policies and departmental procedures and rules

 

Qualifications and Competencies:

• Prior experience working in the HVAC industry is preferred

• 3+ years of experience in customer service or dispatching

• High school diploma, or equivalent

• Able to work in a fast-paced team environment

• Must be able to multi-task

• Possess strong customer service skills

• Possess strong computer skills

• Strong written and verbal communication

• Professional telephone manners
