Locally owned & operated for over 20 years, Blue Plate Catering is a high-volume, award winning catering based out of Madison WI. We provide catering for groups ranging from 15 to 2,000 people. Blue Plate Catering is dedicated to supporting the economic and environmental well-being of our local community. With this in mind, we make every effort possible to purchase locally-grown meat and dairy from local coops and organizations right in the Heartland through our main purveyor at Reinhart.

You are comfortable working in a high volume kitchen and preparing large quantities of food. You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with daily variety and being part of a team while also being comfortable working independently. You are strong at multitasking and being able to work on multiple dishes at once. You enjoy working events and are looking for an opportunity to grow your career. 

Full-Time & Part-Time roles available 


  • Prep & assemble dishes up to high levels of standard

  • Responsible for executing final product

  • Daily food preparation

  • Daily kitchen sanitation

  • Ensure kitchen up to health codes

  • Deliver & set up as needed


  • 3+ years kitchen experience

  • Friday & Saturday availability

  • Valid drivers license 

  • Dependable vehicle or transportation

  • Trustworthy & dependable

  • Management experience is a plus

  • Catering or large production experience


  • $18/hour

  • Free meal during shift

  • For full-time employees:

    • 1 week PTO after 1 year

    • Health insurance after 90 days with 50% employer match
