Maintenance/Entry Level Mechanic

 

This entry-level Facility Maintenance and Mechanic position will perform routine building repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC maintenance, while ensuring facility safety and cleanliness. Also, basic mechanical aptitude to service and troubleshoot facility equipment such as: Forklifts, order pickers, golf cars, pickup trucks, vans, delivery vehicles.

Ideal opportunity for motivated individuals with strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn, focusing on preventive maintenance and repair. 

This is a great opportunity for someone with basic mechanical skills to grow in the facility maintenance field. 

Key Responsibilities

·         Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.

·         General Repairs: Assist in repairing machinery, equipment, and structural components (painting, flooring, lighting).

·         Basic Construction knowledge as pertains to wood structure repair methods.

·         Troubleshooting: Diagnose basic mechanical issues and assist with repairs under supervision.

·         Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe and clean workspace, following all safety regulations and procedures.

·         Documentation: Record maintenance activities and service requests. 

 

Job Requirements:

High school diploma, or GED equivalent needed. Any further education/experience in the maintenance area preferred.

Must maintain a positive attitude, with a customer service focus in a fast-paced work environment.

Use of forklift trucks & order pickers experience preferred but will train.

Should possess ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.

Should be detail-oriented, focused, driven, and a self-starter.

Strong interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.

Knowledge of general carpentry, and repairs needed.

Should have ability to use hand and power tools.

Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.

One year of maintenance experience and a valid driver’s license needed for driving company vehicles.

Mon-Fri, Day Shift
