Caregiver: Pacific Palisades 9 am to 5 pm
Introduction:
Family Ties Home Care has an immediate opening for a client in Pacific Palisades. He is 82 years old, lives alone, and is very intelligent. He walks using a walker. He had cancer, a heart attack, is diabetic, and overall weak. He needs assistance with walking, driving, meal prep, appointments, and standard ALDs. He uses the toilet and shower but needs stand-by assistance so he does not fall. He is social and does like interacting with people. Cooking and Driving are essential. Shifts are 9 am to 5 pm. (8 hours per day) and all days are needed The pay rate is $20.00 to $22.00 per hour plus applicable overtime.
Must have Caregiving experience, a Driver's license, and a Car.

Responsibilities:
- Following a pre-set care plan
- Standard ADLs (personal care, bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene assistance)
- Assist with medication reminders
- Monitor and report on client's well-being
- Light housekeeping, laundry, & other household daily chores as needed
- Grocery shopping & errands
- Cooking/meal preparation
- Scheduling appointments, including doctor's
- Communication with Family Ties HC management & family members/loved-ones regarding the client's daily status
- Daily notes
- Other duties assigned as needed
Qualifications:
- Current HCA or higher certification
- Caregiving experience of 1 year or similar experience
- Compassionate and caring demeanor
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow the pre-set care plan and medication schedule
- Ability to lift 35 pounds
- Ability to assist with client's mobility as needed
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work the schedule as described
